On Saturday we offer one walk in
the local areas. These are planned to be accessible by public
transport (either buses or trains). Some people also reach the
start of the walk using their own transport.
The Saturday walk will be between
6 and 10 miles led by one of the club's leaders. We find that
between 5 and 30 people may turn up to join one of these walks (no
booking is required - just come to the starting point on the day).
The meeting point (e.g. bus stop or train station and specific
time) is specified in our programme. Sometimes the walks are
circular, more often than not they end at a different place, but
normally in reach of public transport close by.
At the end of the walk, walkers
will often go for a drink (coffee or beer) somewhere, though this
is optional.
A good range of walks is on offer
in the programme. E.g. Baildon to Ilkley, Denholme to Haworth and
Hebden Bridge Circular.
The Saturday walks usually start
between 9.00 and 11.00 and finish between 3.00 pm and 5.00 pm. Full
details of our current walks are available here. You can also download our
syllabus from the link below
