Regrettably our club is suspending all walking and social activities from 18th March 2020 following advice from the Government on the management of Covid 19 (Coronavirus).

This will have immediate effect for our Saturday Public Transport and Sunday Coach Walks. We are also cancelling our weekend away to the Peak District (Ilam) and it is likely our two holidays to Isle of Wight in May and Spain in September will also be cancelled, but we await further guidance nearer to these dates.

We will also suspend our occasional social get togethers. We hope to resume normal activities of our club in the future, but at present we have no information on when this will be possible.

Are you new to walking?

Perhaps you haven’t walked for a long time?

Are you already walking regularly?

Do you like to walk with others?

Are you are looking for an interesting programme of walks?

Would you like someone to lead the walks?

Would you like to discover new areas of countryside to walk in?

Do you want to do some challenging walking?

Do you want to do some easy walking?

Would you like a choice of walks?

Would you like to go away for the weekend walking?

Would you like to be transported to and from the walks?

Would you like to join a friendly walking club?

If any of the above apply, then perhaps you would be interested in joining our walking group.

This website gives you all the information you need about our walking club. You are welcome to try us out before joining and we are especially keen to attract new members who would like to come walking with us on a Sunday, when we hire a coach and travel to wonderful places every week and have 2 to 3 levels of walk to choose from.

You can download our walking programme to see what we offer on Saturdays (one walk – locally) and Sundays (up to three walks).

We have members walking with us from a large area including many parts of West Yorkshire, some parts of North Yorkshire and specifically from Bradford, Leeds, Huddersfield, Bingley, Keighley, Silsden, Saltaire and Shipley.

 New Sponsored Footpath Sign

Bradford CHA has teamed up with the Peak and Northern Footpath Society (PNFS) to introduce more signs in Bradford District. We have sponsored three signs and we hope to sponsor more in the future.

The first one has now been erected and can be found on the path from Haworth to Bronte Bridge (GR SE0027235969)

They are very attractive foot path signs and they will also promote our club.

We also hope more people will join or donate to the Peak and Northern Footpath Society.

Bradford Council have been very helpful to both groups and this is greatly appreciated
